Ways to Help

You Can Make a Difference

Thank you for your interest in helping to spread the word about organ, eye and tissue donation. There are so many ways to get involved. We hope you will find something that works for you! If not, contact us at info@donatelifenc.org with your ideas!

Register as a Donor

The best way to make a difference is to make sure you are on the NC organ, eye and tissue donor registery. There are no age limits on donation and most people with pre-existing conditions can donate something, so join the millions of North Carolinians today who have pledged to save lives!

Share Your Time

We need more folks to help us with community education booths, public speaking engagements and visiting our wonderful DMV examiners. Don't like public events or speaking to a crowd? Maybe writing a blog post about your personal experience is more your style! Let us know what makes you shine and we'll put you to work helping others!

Our Transplant Ambassadors help with public engagments including tabling events and presentations.

Our DMV Ambassadors visit assigned DMV stations a few times a year to encourage and thank examiners for the job that they do.

Our Educators visit high schools and driver's ed classes to teach students about what saying "yes" at the DMV means and just how important it is.

All our volunteer programs are part of NC Champions for Life, a collaborative initiative between Donate Life North Carolina and LifeShare Carolinas. Although we're independent organizations, together we're all working toward a common goal: increasing the number of registered organ, eye and tissue donors across North Carolina. Attend a Donate Life Event

We are scheduling events across the state and would love to see you in person, hear your story and talk to you about your experience with donation. Join us at one of our upcoming events (see our calendar HERE) and have fun while supporting our educational efforts across the state!

Make a Financial Contribution

Traveling across the state and reaching out to all 100 counties requires resources for materials and other expenses. Providing curriculum materials to all NC high schools also takes some effort as well as expense. Supporting our outreach efforts helps us continue to expand our services to schools and communities across North Carolina!

Help Us Reach Your Community

Sometimes all that's needed to get folks to register is for someone to ask the question! Do you belong to a civic organization, school or place of worship? Invite us to come speak or host an event and we'll send the materials you need. Fill out the speaker request form here or just email us at info@donatelifenc.org with the date, location and number of people anticipated. See our Resources section for more information about community and school events.
