Donate Life College Champions Program

Our College Champions are student advocates who help promote the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation across their local campuses and communities. It’s easy to get involved and we’ll help you along the way.

Get Involved!

The College Champions program involves several components. You can do them all or pick which opportunities work best for you and your schedule! Here they are below or click here for our College Event Guide.

Volunteer

This is a great option if you need flexibility and want to manage your own time with giving back. To be a College Champions volunteer, you must commit to hosting at least two events on campus or at community programs during the school year. You can host any type of event you wish. Some examples include:

  • Hosting a table at a student fair
  • Hosting a donor registration drive
  • Speaking to a class, student, or local community group (fraternities, sororities, associations, and clubs just to name a few)
  • Securing an on campus engagement for Donate Life staff

We will provide you with a presentation guide, materials, and giveaways. We'll also award you with a certificate at the end of the school year.

Intern

We are always looking for students that are capable of committing to hard work and creative thinking during a fall, spring, or summer internship. Donate Life NC interns get the opportunity to learn about transplant medicine, philanthropy, fundraising, communications, leadership, public administration and more. Interns will participate in weekly tasks and professional development. You'll have exposure to leaders and executives in the non-profit and medical field.

We only accept 8 students a year and inquiries are accepted on a rolling basis. After successful completion of the internship, you will be awarded a certificate and honor cord for graudation.

Service Learning Project

Did your professor assign a service learning project? Are you part of a class group that has to complete an assignment out in the community? Choose Donate Life NC for your project. We can provide you with tools and framework to help make your project a success.

If you are a college professor we can help you design a service learning project for your students!
