Are YOU passionate about multicultural outreach? Do YOU know a friend, family member, or patient who is passionate about multicultural outreach? Do YOU know of an organization that is passionate about multicultural outreach? We need YOU to help make the difference at Donate Life North Carolina.
We invite you to join us for an afternoon coffee conversation on October 26th, 2020, at 1 pm hosted by Donate Life NC's Manager of Multicultural Affairs, Tanise Love, and Board Chair-Elect, Megan Andrews. Bring your favorite cup of coffee or tea and join the team as they share more about the:
-History of The Decision Project and multicultural outreach partnerships
-History of the Transplant Ambassador (volunteer) program and a new statewide collaboration between Donate Life NC and LifeShare Carolinas
-An open discussion about past successes, current needs, and how to move forward
-Q&A and how to get involved
A bit of history:
In 2016, Donate Life North Carolina began a formal journey to increase engagement throughout multicultural communities. As partner engagement and public outreach grew, so did the understanding of the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation and the positive impact donation has across all communities.
In 2019, Donate Life NC began the statewide multicultural outreach campaign, The Decision Project. Since then, the grassroots collaboration between BIPOC communities and the organizations serving them grew, but there's still work to be done!
Join us and we'll see you there! Do you have a question you want answered? Email tlove@donatelifenc.org, and we'll make sure to answer it during our live discussion.
