Donate Life National Blue and Green Day
April 11 is National Donate Life Blue & Green Day, a day to share the excitement and power of donation! By showing off your proud colors, you can help honor organ, eye and tissue donors and celebrate the patients who received the gift of life through transplantation. Give hope to the more than 120,000 people on the transplant waiting list and show your commitment to donation!

1. Get your creative juices flowing and snap a pic of your Donate Life colors! Once you've got the perfect shot, submit it to the Donate Life America Facebook page from Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13 at 11:59pm EDT. Once submitted, all images become property of Donate Life America and may be used by Donate Life America to promote organ, eye and tissue donation without expiration. Share your entry with your friends using the #BlueAndGreen2014 hashtag!
You can enter the contest in one of six categories. Be sure to include the category name when uploading your photos!
- Outfitted for Life (Adult Fashion)
- Colorful Kids (Kid Fashion)
- Paws for Donation (Pet Fashion)
- Get Together for Blue & Green (Group Photos)
- Blue, Green & Delicious (Food and Drinks)
- Donate Life Décor (Places, Spaces, and Decorations)
2. You can "Like" your favorite pictures until Friday, April 18 at 11:59pm EDT.
3. The pictures with the most "Likes" in each category will be included in an overall vote available via Survey Monkey which will be posted to DLA's Facebook. The voting survey will be open Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27 at 11:59pm EDT.
4. Winners will be announced on April 30 to close National Donate Life Month. The winning submission from each category will be awarded a $100 Amazon gift card!
