Jonathan has worked in the donation community for 11 years. He begin his career in tissue at Carolina Donor Services working in surgical tissue recovery and leadership roles. He is now the Director of Certification and Online Learning at the American Association of Tissue Banks. Jonathan has a Bachelor's degree in business communications and is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist. He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in non-profit management.
Jonathan is an Adjunct Biologics Course Instructor with the Medical Sales College, a member of the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners (IACME) Conference Planning Committee, an Affiliate Member of the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) Organ and Tissue Procurement Committee, a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Healthcare Advisory Committee, a member of the Donate Life America Funeral Services Committee and a liaison American Association of Blood Banks.
In 2019, Jonathan’s mother received a liver and kidney transplant at UNC Hospital and both of his grandmothers are tissue recipients.
